SINKS
Sinks: flux mechanisms which remove gases.
• Chemical removal - O2 weathering of rocks
• Dry deposition - direct transfer of gases or particles to the ground (plant leaves, soil, ocean surface, buildings)
• Wet removal - dissolved in rain drops
  - often after chemical rxn with OH., O2, NOX
  to give acids eg. RCO2H, H2SO4, HNO3
• Biotic – CO2 used in photosynthesis.
Source - Reservoir - Sink   Model
• Any modification of the sources or sinks
will change the quantities in the reservoir.
