STEADY STATE
Fluxes   (fluxin = emission  / time, eg. Ton / d)
• Most gases in the atmosphere are in
  steady state not in chemical equilibrium.
                 Fluxin = Fluxout = A / t
A = total amount of gas in the atmosphere
t  = residence time of gas in the atmosphere
    =  average lifetime of a gas molecule
• A gas with a long residence time will have
time to mix well and will show a constant
concentration around the globe.
• They will accumulate  eg. CFC-12 t 110 yrs
