• The USA has had
several TCDD scares.
• Times Beach, Missouri (1971) : a waste
contractor mixed waste sludge from a
2,4,5-T factory with waste oil and sprayed
it onto roads, horse tracks, yards to control
dust. The sludge contained 30kg of dioxin.
