CHEMILUMINESCENCE
• Chemiluminescence results from a chemical reaction to form an excited state species which emits light ® analyte signal.
• Used in NOx analysis
where O3 is reacted
with NO to form NO2*.
• Any NO2 is thermally
converted to NO first.
• l = 600 - 875 nm.
  IDL 10 ppb.
Simple and good for continuous monitoring.
• Used in O3 analysis ethylene is reacted &
emission occurs at 430 nm.      IDL 1 ppb.
