SAMPLING PROTOCOL
• The overall sampling protocol is a detailed break
down of the sampling procedure.
• Worked out in
advance it details what is going to
happen in the field.
• It must include: containers(no, size,
labels), sampling devices(water,
air), spike samples, sample vol. /weight, preservation, field measurements (eg. DO, pH), variables (meteorological,
hydrological) & a log book.
• A safety
protocol is put in place (clothing,
