ELECTROPHILIC ADDITION
Alkenes typically react with electrophilic (electron loving, ie. short of e-) reagents
in Electrophilic Addition Reactions.
General Mechanism
                      carbocation intermediate
Addition of the atoms (groups) E+ Nu- across
the double bond is \ a 2 step reaction.
E+   = electrophile   eg.  H+, Br+ 
Nu- = nucleophile   eg. Br-, OH-
