COLOUR II
• For d block T-Metals we can have electronic transitions within the d orbitals. 
• These transitions are lower in energy and correspond to energy in the visible region.
• The complexes are therefore coloured due to their absorption of some of the incident light.
• The variety of different colours found in TM complexes are explained by the way in which ligands influence the energies of the
d-orbitals ("Crystal Field Theory").
